Evergreen Supermarket is arguably the biggest wholly owned Ghanaian retail shop. Located at Tema Community 4, the supermarket stocks a wide variety of quality products from Ghana, Germany, Italy, USA, and Canada.

The spacious retail shop is built to international standards and makes shopping convenient and a pleasure. The supermarket started in 1986 at the Community 1 branch which is located in the old UTC building at the market. In the year 2003, the supermarket opened a larger branch in their huge 2 storey Evergreen Complex at Community 4, which also house various companies in rented offices.

Evergreen Supermarket is owned by the industrious Mr. and Mrs Morrison who manage the business together with their five children. In an exclusive interview with thecityofthema.com the couple disclosed that plans are underway to build an ultra-modern one stop shop on the Spintex road very soon. This shop when completed will be the biggest of their retail shops.

Filled with pride the couple narrated how something which was started by Mrs Vida Morrison as a table stall in front of her garage at the couple’s home has grown to be such a successful business. Mr. Morrison was convinced by his wife to leave his work as a Marine Engineer to invest and assist in the supermarket and with tenacity, prudent management and business acumen, the couple has fashioned out the success story of Evergreen Supermarket.
